Repossi’s Limited Edition No.9 Dark Grey Gold Earring, unveiled in September, is inspired by African traditional earrings from the 18th century and reinterpreted through a striking frontal silhouette and an elegant palette of dark grey tones.
The unusual dark grey semi pavé earring makes a bold statement on the ear, exploring a frontal view this time through an even more sculptural and exaggerated silhouette. Its large curves delicately envelop the earlobe in an unconventional way, creating a powerful yet surprising look.
Crafted in dark grey gold, the earring sparkles with anthracite reflections, contrasted by a delicate line of pavé diamonds. Its deep grey tone evokes the resonance of steel, expressing a futuristic aesthetic with a refined sense of elegance.
The mounting and setting of the jewel recall some of Gaia’s father, Alberto Repossi’s, iconic designs and his archival references to the bold bijoux d’oreilles of the 1960s and 1970s. These voluminous clip-on creations celebrated generous proportions emblematic of the time.
