L’Envol, the latest collection from Ziad Nakad, takes inspiration from birds on the wing.
The Lebanese designer returned to the mountains of his homeland to introduce the 34-piece couture collection, whose name means flight in French, extending a poetic invitation to escape the noise of life and return to nature.
The collection translates the sensation of birds soaring into refined designs that celebrate lightness and strength for the woman of today, as though each gown carries a story of success and creativity, with wings ready to rise to the highest summits.
In a majestic visual tableau, the models appear amid the Lebanese mountains in designs that merge modernity and elegance, harmonising with the surrounding nature. The garments become an extension of the ideas of elevation, stability and freedom. The world of birds is evoked through fluid cuts and intricate details. Some gowns feature multiple layers that create a sense of movement and lightness, while others reveal delicately embroidered bird motifs that seem almost alive.
Mermaid silhouettes also appear throughout the collection, expressing femininity and sophistication, with fabrics falling effortlessly to enhance the beauty of the figure.
